Hi ladies, the last 2 times I visited the RE and had blood taken, I bled longer and more than I expected. After the first time I dismissed it as a fluke because my arms were already badly bruised. I had the cotton completely filled with blood. But then yesterday again when I went to remove the cotton it was completely full of blood and I got a nice purple bruise. Is this normal? Do other ladies get a lot of bleeding after venipuncture? I’m a bit concerned because this never happened before and I’ve been pricked a lot, and now it’s twice in a row. Let me add that I am not on any blood thinners. Any feedback is welcome, thank you.
