Franklin or just Frankie?

We like the name Franklin shortened to Frankie but not Frank - would you just skip it being a nickname and use Frankie instead of Franklin so it wouldn’t be Frank?

Franklin will age much better thank Frankie would. Love Frankie for a baby/kid but as an adult I don’t think it would be so “cute”

I LOVE Franklin! Even if you chose Frankie as thier name, they could still shorten it to Frank. In fact I think they are way more likely because Frankie might not be taken seriously in a professional setting.

Yeah I agree with another commenter that if you want to avoid Frank, Franklin is a safer bet than Frankie. An adult Frankie would probably shorten to Frank for professional purposes. An adult Franklin would be much less likely to use Frank, since he has Franklin as an option.
