Period or not?

So my period was 4 days late, I took 2 tests both came back negative.

So couple days go by i start getting the brown discharge that usually starts before your period or after. Well I've now had this brown discharge stuff for 4 days and there is no blood at all happening.. I googled and it says early sign of pregnancy... I'm confused on if my BC failed... or if my periods just acting funny? Like should I go to urgent care and get a blood test pregnancy test?! And it comes and goes, one day there will be quite a bit, and the next none...
