What did my husband’s do in this texts?
He was texting a girl and she seemed to have gotten angry because he was teasing her about taking up some guy they both know on a date. She responded by telling him this:
“I don’t want to be sensitive about it, but I’m going to be honest I don’t want to think you’re eager to pass me off to someone it makes feel like I’m insignificant to you.”
Then he said this:
You’re definitely not. But I don’t want you catching too many feelings, for obvious reasons. you aren’t insignificant- I really appreciate what you’ve done for me. And I’ll always remember it. That said, I enjoy talking to you... it makes my days a little lighter.
From what I was able to read through she has been reading the book he’s writing and they talk regularly maybe not everyday but weekly. Would you say this is innocent? Is he setting her straight by telling her not to catch a lot of feelings? Or is he recognizing something else?
Then she said this :
You make my days lighter too. And it would be really difficult to get through some days here without talking to you.
I know there’s limits but in the end, all I’ve ever wanted is for someone to care and now I know you do.
Which he responded to:
“forsure, I do”
