Postpartum anxiety anyone?

Calling all the mamas out there. Have you experienced postpartum anxiety? If so, what were you symptoms ?

I was a DISASTER. I was a wreck over everything. I overanalyzed everything TO DEATH. I couldn’t sleep at all. When I’d lay down at night I had intrusive thoughts of horrible things happening to my son. Things so ridiculous and irrational I’m honestly afraid to admit them. I just walked around on the verge of total panic for like a year. It was agony. It was hell on my relationship. Every little crisis was a world-ending catastrophe. It was rough. 
Therapy was immensely helpful. My doc wanted to give me medication but I was too anxious about taking it. I probably should have. But I have anxiety anyway and things eventually settled back to the levels I’m used to coping with. 
Talk with your doc. You can get help. If your doc recommends taking medication, consider it. I was dumb not to.

I’m going through it right now. Mine has me feeling like a hypochondriac. Mine is all around health. I’m hyper aware of every sensation (ache, weird twinge, etc) in my body and then my mind spirals about what it could be. I’ve recently stopped myself from googling my symptoms because that always made it way worse. For some reason my mouth and teeth always feel really weird in bad anxiety days. It sounds so ridiculous even typing this out, but it’s my reality. I never had anxiety about medical/dental things before, but it’s been triggered by my emergency c-section. 
My doctor prescribed meds but after doing my own research and talking with the pharmacist I decided not to while I am still breastfeeding. I have reached out and am waiting on an appointment with a counsellor to start addressing it that way. I have also been journaling and doing other self-care activities when I can (going for a walk, etc). I also make sure my husband knows when I’m having a bad anxiety day so that if I am really irritable he knows it’s nothing personal. And I started tracking in a calendar when I have good days (they literally get a cold star sticker ⭐️) to remind myself I don’t always feel this way.
