Pump and parts sanitized? Pushy sister

My sister keeps telling me I have to do this now, but I don’t have my pump yet (will get it at the hospital) and plan to breastfeed my twins (at least try .god willing). My doula said also don’t worry about pumping and parts until we need to etc... what do u think? 
Are you ready to go for pumping etc?

I’m waiting ... first... I don’t want the clean parts sitting around getting dusty.  I’m not even sure if I’ll have to pump... and if I do... I’m making my hubby do it.  He did it for me the first time and did a great job.

You can wait. The milk that comes out is the most important and you dont want them to miss any of that. That and youll have plenty of time to pump.

Ignore ur sister , you won’t get ur milk in fully for a couple of days and at first it will just be a little bit ( but enough to fill the baby’s small belly) its better to let the babies nurse and get used to a good latch right away then worry about pumping later once ur supply comes in. I started pumping after three ish weeks so my husband could help me while I slept

It can wait. I have mine but not getting it ready till about 3 weeks postpartum as I don’t want to pump too soon and get an over supply. I didn’t start pumping with our first till about 6-8 weeks and had more than enough milk and was well regulated.

I don’t plan to pump until at least 3 weeks postpartum since I plan to breastfeed. Even if I have to do it before that, sanitizing it just consists of boiling some water and then dropping in the pieces for about 5 minutes. I haven’t sanitized pacifiers or bottles either
