Hello all, I was wondering if anyone else has had this happen. To start off my cycles have always been “fairly” regular, anywhere from 30-37 seems to have been my norm, and occasionally I’d have a 41-44 day cycle. I’m 27.

Here’s the run down:

I decided to try the bc pill in August, hoping I’d get lucky and it’d stop my periods all together while I was on it. It had actually been one of the longest cycles I experienced at the time, waiting 52 days for my period to show up before I could start taking my pill. Well, I had a BAD reaction to the pill, it made my suicidal, made me cry off and on all day for days straight, and made the cycle I began it on last for upwards of ten days. I tried to stick it out but finished all but two of the pills in the pack because I couldn’t handle it anymore, and quit for good right there. Told my doc I was quitting at my check in check up in and that was that.

After I stopped the pill I had my withdrawal bleed Sep 4, which lasted 4 days. My next cycle was 41 days at October 15. then my next cycle was 30 days at Nov 14. It was a little different than usual in that it seemed a little lighter. It still lasted for my normal 7 days but there was a lot less clots and tissue than I’m used to getting, and more just straight up blood. I would also like to add the last time I had sex that could get me pregnant was three days before that period, and we used a condom, of course!

So my calendar said my next period was supposed to come on the 18th of December. I did get the tiniest brown fleck in my discharge on that day, and it was literally just that single occurrence. I occasionally get a tiny brown spot in my discharge near when I’m ovulating so I thought I was just having a delayed ovulation. I also developed bronchitis in December, so when I went to the doc on the 30th of December, and they gave me a urine pregnancy test before I was x-rated to be on the safe side and it came back negative.

I had another tiny brown fleck on the 6th of January, almost four weeks exactly after the first brown fleck. I’m not having any other symptoms of pregnancy, but none of my usual PMS symptoms either.

I already know half of you are going to tell me to see my gyro, and I have plans to if it doesn’t show up soon. Don’t get my wrong I loved not having to deal with my period, but I’ve read a bunch of things on why it could happen and unfortunately some things have set off my health anxiety and hypochondria a little bit.

I have suspicions raised about possible lean PCOS (I’m tiny, 4’9” and 80 lbs), but I really don’t want that to be the case because I absolutely will not allow them to put me on birth control of any kind, copper IUD included.
