VBAC v second caesarean?

Anyone have any experiences/know about related risks etc? Really unsure what’s best to do. Will speak to consultant of course but wanted any experiences/thoughts!

I am currently pregnant with baby 2 and plan on doing a VBAC. The benefits of VBAC is faster recovery and less time in the hospital I’m sure it’s more but I can’t think of them all. The main concern with VBAC is a uterine rupture which occurs if the incision from your previous csection tears open. The chance of this happening is rare. Your doctor will tell you whether or not you are a good candidate for VBAC or not. I would definitely try for VBAC as repeat csections can cause problems and the more you have the more chance you will never be able to have a vaginal birth

I’m wondering the same thing! I had an emergency c section a year ago with my first and now I’m 4 months pregnant with my second and definitely feeling like going for a planned c section xx

Going for a vbac this time with my second. Its been over 2 years and there was no dilation or health related issues that caused the last csection other than the fact that my son was huge and I couldnt push him out. The dr okayed it for a vbac. It really depends on your last pregnancy and the reason for the csection.

Vbac definitely if your provider okays it and you want to try. I had a csection in 2015 and then one in 2016 my boys are 18 months apart so I wasn’t comfortable trying as they were so close. Now I’m due with my 3rd and have a good 2 years apart from my second I’m going for a Vba2c and I’m excited and scared but I have a very supportive Dr and Midwife and husband so I hope all goes according to plan!
