So I have an appointment today to get an IUD inserted (not sure which one yet as I need to discuss my options and medical history). How long did you guys bleed after you had it inserted initially and with which IUD? Were you guys on your period when you had it inserted, if so how did it affect that current cycle? They told me to be on my period because it will help the pain. Thanks!

UPDATE: got it inserted! Was a breeze!! The only part that “hurt” was the actual insertion. I got the liletta. And definitely have cramps but I’m also still on my period so hopefully it ends when it’s supposed to. Thanks guys for your help! Really helped me not freak out so bad
