Separation anxiety? Help!
My husband and I recently added a 5 month old pug puppy to our family. He’s doing very well as far as basic training and housebreaking goes, but every single time we leave him alone (i.e. I’m in the bathroom with the door closed) he won’t leave the door, poops/pees himself exactly where he’s at, and ends up spreading it all over the floor, walls, and doors. This is a daily thing, and we’re not sure what to do. Is this separation anxiety? Would a vet help or would we need to see a behaviorist?? I’m getting tired of bathing him and cleaning poop every day and not being able to leave the house in fear he’ll hurt himself while we’re gone.
