How do you do holidays with your child’s other parent if you are separated?

I have to figure out holidays for my proposal.

As soon as my kids where 10 they got to decide.  I don't care about Christmas so he got them then anything else was divided at the moment.

There should be a standard order of shared parenting in your county. Look it up, ours has holidays split so mom gets them one year for x holiday and dad gets them next.

I have 4 kids two of which have different dads (no mean comments on that please) but this is what we usually do for holidays 
Christmas eve i get them that night we do dinner and movie then bed, then morning comes do presents and breakfast then they go to their dads for their christmas there. My mother does christmas in jan for the kids and my husband mom does christmas for my kids week before so that gives the other dads what ever day they want their family Christmas on.
Easter and Thanksgiving they spend it with their dads because my family dont do anything on those holidays
Birthdays we talk about what day we want to do their party and make sure the fathers party/plans arent same day. 
Been doing it for 10 yrs never had a problem

A lot of people I know will have one parent having the child on the eve of the holiday and then the other parent on the holiday (for instance my friend- her ex has their kids on say the 23-24th of December and then has to have the kids back to her by a certain time at night the 24th for her to have them Christmas Day). 
Other people do like every other holiday- ex gets them for thanksgiving you get Christmas, etc. or like every other year switch which holiday you get.
