How long does your baby nap?

My daughter goes to bed about 7:30 and typically wakes up about 6:30-7. The past couple weeks her naps have been so short and she ends up being such a grouch. She usually goes down for a nap around 12:30 and I’m lucky if it’s an hour. 😵 At her age I feel like she should still be napping way longer.

My son's nap is typically 1.5 hrs long, but ranges from 1-2 hrs long. He sleeps between 10-10.5 hrs overnight. I wouldn't be concerned about your daughter! The average amount of sleep for this age is 11-14 hrs per day and she's within that range. Before making a change to her schedule, I would wait to see if things change on their own. But she is sleeping for 11-11.5 hrs at night, which is a long night for this age. If she continues to nap for only an hour, you might want to either push bedtime back or wake her earlier in the morning to extend the nap (and/or possibly push waketime before nap). As they get older, their sleep needs will continue to decrease, and they also go through phases of needing more and then less sleep. :)

I sleep trained my daughter really early on since she was four months old she always gone down around 8:30/9pm and wakes up between 9:30/10:30am. She takes one nap a day starting at 3:30 and depending on how tired she is she will get up between 5-6:30pm. Some morning she might sleep in till 11:30am. I really just let her do her thing when it comes to sleep. She only acts different when she didnt go down AT her bedtimes.

My son naps around 1-2pm and wakes up at 4pm or earlier. When he skips his naptime he will fall asleep around 4pm and wake up around 6pm and go to sleep at 12Am 😭 so we make sure to keep his nap time around 1-2pm always, but he sleeps through the night which he goes to sleep at 11pm and wakes up around 8am or 9am

My daughter goes to bed at 830 then wakes up at 6..then she naps about 130-330 so she dies 2 hour naps but sleeps 9.5 hr at night so yours is comparable! (11.5 hr of sleep per day)
