Depends more on situation than age. I started TTC at 22 because that’s when my husband and I got married, but we’d been together since I was 14 and we had been living together since I was 18. I just graduated college, we had good jobs and a great income and I own our house outright.
We could have started TTC at 20 or so, but we just wanted to wait until we were officially married.

I put maybe because it really depends where you are at in life. Are you supporting yourself? Are you in a stable committed relationship? Do you have the means to support a child? Are you prepared to lose a lot of freedom to do whatever you want and go out all the time? Some people at 20-21 are, some are not, but those are important questions to ask yourself and if you can’t answer yes to all of them then you should not ttc.

I don’t think she is as important as having decent jobs, being in a committed relationship shop where you know each other really well and have the means to support a child. Children are expensive. My husband (boyfriend) at the time started ttc when I was 23 and he was 25. We had been together for 5.5 years and both had good jobs. I think if your financial stable, in a good relationship and mature enough age doesn’t matter!
