So... perineal massage!

Tried it for the first time tonight using a ton of oil. I can’t get both hands down there, so asked hubby if he could help me. He started out with 1 thumb and I found it incredibly uncomfortable, kind of painful with him just inserting his thumb. He was going to insert his second thumb and I had to stop him... why is it so painful?! He sticks his penis in there fine... but a thumb?!!! Nope! Goodness help me during the birth...
