Italy for a girl?

I was thinking of naming my daughter Italy if it were a girl

I don’t think it would age very well. However if you like the Italian theme maybe go with something more subtle like Florence (City in Italy) or Terra (Italian for earth) or Vita (Italian for Life). There are lots of options like that.

Some thought: the name for the country Italia (Italy) comes from the Latin Vitalia (or vitalus). From there, the Italian name Vitale (sometimes nicknamed Vito). Maybe you could use that name! Vitale is beautiful.

Its not a choice Id make, however i tend to be quite traditional but i also look at how would that name look onto of a CV or application form, could someone with that name be a DR or a president/prime minister or a CEO? 
I think naming a child Italy would have an impact on them long term, it might be cute for a baby but would it work for a middle-aged professional?!
