Anyone Else’s 2yr old in Speech Therapy?

I noticed around a year old my son wasn’t hitting the verbal milestones and his doctor suggested speech therapy. He’s been seeing a speech therapist once a week since July 2018. He’s making really great improvements but he still isn’t “actually” talking. He’s doing amazing with learning specific words, repeating after my husband and I, taking directions, etc. But he just isn’t forming short sentences or anything yet.
Anyone else going through the same? I feel like I’m doing everything I can to help him but I just wanna hear my baby say “I love you momma” 😭

Yes! My son is currently in speech therapy as well. 
He’s been going since Oct 2018 and still doesn’t say complete sentences. We’ve been reading to him and telling him to say certain 3 of 2 word sentences but it’s still taking a bit for him to learn. 
He talks a lot in his own little toddler jargon though and he knows a lot of words 🙃 
Idk, I guess they’ll start talking on their own time. But sometimes it does frustrate me and makes me feel like I’m not doing enough

My son is advanced in his speech. He's been speaking full sentences since 18 months. A week after his second birthday he developed a heavy stammer. It has gotten better in the last two months but is still there. Everyone says he's fine but it concerns me. I've considered speech therapy but unsure where to start looking.

Mine is. She started around the same time as yours, but we get speech through a state program, so they only come twice a month. She’s starting to say more single words and can sometimes put two words together. She’s definitely made improvements but still behind average. 
We put her in half day daycare around the same time as starting speech and that has helped a lot. Her teachers put her next to kids that talk a lot to help model.

Mine isn’t, but I see lots of little ones through my job that are delayed in speech. Hang in there! Progress will likely come with time. 🙂

Mine is not. However,  I keep being told everywhere we go( pediatrician, pediatric dentist,  etc) that my daughter Is quite advanced for her age, especially in speech. Vast majority of our oct 2016 babies, are not really talking in full sentences and it is not even advisable that you compare kids that do with a child that doesnt. Simply because at this age, it is perfectly okay, as long as they are talking, repeating when asked and saying words like "eat" when they are hungry, or other one words, to communicate a sentence.
One of my friends has a boy who's 2 weeks older than my daughter,  and he is only doing simple words. In speech therapy with a speech pathologist. He is doing great, but I cant compara him to my daughter,  because that would be wrong of me.
Kids to pick up at their own pace, even with speech therapy. As long as they are trying and you see improvement,  even the smallest of improvements is wonderful. Try to not stress too much over your child using full sentences. It will happen soon.
