How different was your first pregnancy from your second? (Comment below!!)

Question

I was curious about how much your first pregnancy differed from your first. I am ttc number 2 and I know they say every pregnancy is different, so I’m just curious! Did you have the same sex or different sexes? Did you feel the same for both? Comment below!! Thanks!! ♥️♥️♥️

Completely different. My first with a girl I lost 10lbs the first trimester due to morning sickness, sore breasts, aversions to everything, no cravings till end of the second trimester and that was red peppers or really fake surgery stuff like store bought cupcakes/cake. Never uncomfortable during my pregnancy. Gained about 28lbs.
My second with a boy I had immediate cravings for Taco Bell, nachos and pizza and never had a moment of morning sickness. Back pain early in and heartburn but no sore breasts. Was super uncomfortable, carrying very low and baby was a lot bigger (they came out 7lbs2oz and 8lbs15oz) and I gained like 45lbs during the pregnancy.
I also had very strong feelings from the start on gender with both and was correct.

Same sexes (girls) for me. So far, I am showing a little earlier, but I’m overweight so it’s not a lot. My breasts haven’t grown as much, but they feel equally as heavy as they did then, maybe heavier. I was sick all day, every day with my first daughter. I didn’t gain weight until the last few weeks. This time, I was pretty sick (but nothing comparatively) until after 14 weeks. It started easing then. I still vomit, but not nearly as often now. I’m still not above my pre-pregnancy weight after the first trimester loss, but I’m just happy to not be so ill, and am up one pound from 2 or 3 weeks ago. I could feel this baby so much earlier! I think the only other major difference is I have terrible acne and dry skin with this little girl, where I don’t remember having that happen while I was pregnant with my daughter.

I took 4 years to conceive my first and did not at all enjoy pregnancy. I was in pain and ill and it was generally just not a nice experience. Although my skin and hair were fabulous! Had a girl and she is now 6 years old. Current pregnancy was a surprise (now 18w) and has been a great experience so far. Hardly ill, no pain and just generally enjoying it all. Skin and hair not nearly as great as last time though. Not finding out what we're having this time round. Will know on the day. All in all, two very different pregnancies.

Wow! Crazy how different your pregnancies were! Makes me scared that I’ll have a rough time with my second pregnancy! Haha! My first was literally a breeze! Had hardly and symptoms to speak of other than insomnia, crazy detailed/dreams nightmares (I had one today which makes me suspect I might be pregnant again!!), bloating, heartburn later on and that’s really it! Thanks so much for sharing and congrats on your babies!! ♥️

Both girls here. I’m 37 weeks with baby #2, my first is 20 months old. The second one has been way harder for me. I actually had some morning sickness, my stomach is way bigger, I had heart palpitations for a while, I’m super uncomfortable all the time, and I have had carpal tunnel for the last two months or so. I’m ready to be done being pregnant.
