I prefer C names over K in general, I don’t know why but I think the C looks softer. And you can still do fun nicknames if you want like Cat, Cate or Catie. But it’s a great, classic name either way you spell it.

I prefer Katharine because I prefer the nicknames that go more naturally with it (Katy, Kat, Kate) than I do with Catharine (Cath, Cathy)
