With the measles outbreaks, do you think vaccines should be mandatory?

I think all people who can medically receive vaccine should get them to protect themselves and those who cannot be vaccinated for medical reasons from deadly, preventable diseases, thereby avoiding such outbreaks in the first place.

I think we should all be allowed to make medical decisions for ourselves and our family. When medical procedures become mandatory, we have lost out freedom.

Just a question for everyone saying everyone saying no, what about the people around you that you come in contact with everyday? The newborns, pregnant mothers, the elderly or the people who can’t get the vaccines for another medical reason? Even if you don’t have the disease or sickness you can be carrying it and spreading it. Vaccines aren’t just about protecting yourself, they’re also about protecting other around you. These are preventable diseases, I don’t understand why you wouldn’t get them.

This is a big question with parental rights.  Public health planning requires a certain percentage to be vaccinated to succeed.  Not 100%.
Most concerned parents will recognize the benefit.  Some will not.  Some have religious or medical exemptions.  That's okay.  Step up the public campaigns and do not force them.  We are still a free country.
