How do I start off having sex

I want to have sex with my boyfriend but I’m not sure how to bring up the topic .. do I just start kissing him and hope it turns into something..I’m pretty sure he wants to have sex to but I’m a teen so I don’t really feel like asking him “hey wanna have sex”
