How many ultrasounds over the entirety of the pregnancy?

I see that many women have only 2 ultrasounds during their pregnancy. I’m wondering if as a plus size woman, I’ll have more if they class me as high risk.

If you are labeled high risk, yes you will have more but not until the third trimester. But just being overweight may not label you high risk. I was not until I got high blood pressure

I had two with my fertility specialist at 7 and 9 weeks before getting released to my obgyn. My ob did the anatomy scan at 22 weeks and I’ll have a growth scan at 36 weeks bc they think he’s running out of room. My doctors exact words when she felt my belly were “Whoa! That’s a big baby!” 🤦🏻‍♀️

I had several during my first pregnancy but it was because of a shortened cervix, not my weight. My doctor didn't even classify me as high risk at 300 lbs.

With my first I had GD so I was considered high risk. I had an ultrasound as often as I saw my doctor. Even at the end when you go once a week, I had an ultrasound. Normally though you don’t get them that often. Pregnant again and already preparing to have GD again. Hoping that I don’t this time around, but know what to expect if so.

My first pregnancy I only had 2 and was 300lbs - being plus size doesn’t necessarily make you high risk. 
If you’ve been told you are then you may have more scans but I would have thought that they may have discussed this with you already. 
This pregnancy they told me on my first midwife appointment that I will have extra growth scans. So this time I’ll have around 5 scans in total

I honestly have had so many issues I can’t even count how many ultrasounds I’ve had at this point. I just made a book of all the pictures so far. But it’s not because I’m plus size. I have a multitude of other issues.

I’m plus size as well, but not high risk, and I’ve had 4 so far. I had one at my first 3 OB appointments, then another for the full anatomy scan on 1/10. I have another one scheduled for next Friday to finish the full anatomy because he wasn’t cooperating last time and they didn’t see everything they needed. Due to his position and how far back he is, they had trouble finding his heartbeat with the handheld doppler a few times, so I got to see him on ultrasound then too. It’s different for everyone as every pregnancy is different.

I am high risk because I have cervical Incompetence. I had an ultrasound at 9 weeks, 12 weeks, and will have one at 16 weeks, and every 2 weeks after that.

I'm 13w and I've already had two because of my previous miscarriage, and because of my family's history of cleft lip/pallette I have two more scheduled around and after 20w to make sure there are no abnormalities. But I think if everything is fine there is no reason for extras
