Late period on Nexplanon

So I've recently got the implant in my arm, around 3-4 weeks ago, and its my first time on birth control. My period is late by 3 days, and I'm worried. I did have sex with my boyfriend without a condom after waiting for about a week and a half after I got the implant, and he didn't even cum inside me. So I'm curious if its normal for the implant to mess up your period? Am I worried for no reason?
