21 weeks 1 day and Cholestasis 🥴anyone experience this before?? I’m afraid of still birth 😖😞

I went to the doctor today for my prenatal appointment and anatomy scan.. baby looks great .. weights 14oz .. but I still have a low lying placenta.. prying it moves up🙏🙏also this is the scary part.. I mentioned to my doctor I have itching all over my body and she ordered blood work to make sure i don’t have Cholestasis.. doctor said it is too early.. but it’s best to test.

If you have it, you'll be referred to high risk. They'll monitor you very closely and deliver well before you hit the "danger zone." Usually stillbirth would happen because it wasn't caught and got out of control. Your doctor is doing exactly the right things and it sounds like you're in good hands. :-)

I haven’t, but my best friend experienced this with her first. They actually didn’t catch it until farther along and she reported severe itching of her stomach at around 37 1/2 weeks. They did a blood test and due to her levels sent her in to be induced right away. Her son is now an adorable, super smart 3 year old! With her second they monitored her very closely for any signs, but she did not have it again. If they already know you have it seems like they can monitor and induce early to prevent problems. She said to just be aware of symptoms. Best of luck and sending good vibes ♥️
