Cleft palate?
I'm 18 weeks and had an ultrasound at my appointment today. Baby boy wasn't exactly cooperative and the tech was having trouble getting a great view of his face, specifically his nose and mouth. She said he looked great, though. When the doctor came in, he mentioned that baby looks great but that there is a concern that he may have a cleft palate. He said they would take another look in 8 weeks.
Has anyone had this happen? Did baby, in fact, have a cleft palate? The doctor said there is a simple procedure to fix it if baby does have one. I'm just wondering how often the doctors are wrong about things like this. As any parents would be, I want my baby to be perfect and not have any issues.
