Would love to hear some stories from women who had hypertension before pregnancy and what happened during pregnancy. Did you stay on medication? Did you have complications? Did you develop preeclampsia?

Just wondering because I am 12 weeks. I had hypertension for 15 years before becoming pregnant that was well controlled with medicine. My doctor immediately had me stop taking it and my blood pressure started creeping up week by week to where now it’s in the 160s over 110s and he wants me to start on a beta blocker. I am happy to do that as it’s safe for baby I’m just worried about the rest of my pregnancy and wondering what other women have experienced. Thx.
