Baby won’t sleep in bassinet

My son is 3 days old and we are in our 2nd night home from hospital and he will not sleep in his bassinet! No matter what time of day (day or night) he won't sleep and He will be completely fed, changed, and asleep and when I put him in bassinet he starts to cry after 10-15 minutes. We've tried putting him asleep both swaddled and unswaddled and neither way works. We've tried propping him up on side and that doesnt work either. I've found the best way to get him to sleep is if he sleeps being held which I don't want to do because he’ll get use to it or if he naps on the boppy pillow which I know can be dangerous. Anyone else deal with this?
