What is the difference between this and a regular swing?

The motions. We had the Mamaroo and a Graco swing. Honestly, our daughter loved both. 👌🏾 As she became older, she started to prefer the Graco over the Mamaroo. However, she liked both. She preferred her Fisher Price Glider a little bit more than both the Mamaroo and swing lol.

Mamaroo is suppose to have different swaying motions and speeds that are suppose to mimic the womb

Mama roo offers a unique soft motion that mimics holding and rocking or a car ride.  We found it to be worth the investment.  Having both is ideal but if had to pick I would choose mamaroo

My baby girl loves her mamaroo! the different movement options and soothing white noise sounds are nice! Also you can download their 4moms app and connect your smartphone to the swing and control it from there!

It takes up much less space and does more of a bobbing/sway motion instead of a swinging motion. My son did not enjoy it and would cry and wriggle as though he was trying to escape lol. My son’s favorite swing was the Fisher Price Snuggapuppy because it would swing side to side, rather than just front to back like many traditional swings. It’s quite big, though.

I will say my first preferred a regular swing but the Mamaroo is nice. It’s small and doesn’t take up tons of space and has lots of different motions and sounds. Will try it again with my second but I have a regular swing too
