Is going to a trade school embarrassing

I enrolled in a trade school/small college that does mostly certificate programs and things like cosmetology, medical assisting, etc. my program is about a year and the school is small but a lot of people get jobs pretty quickly after. Im doing the medical assisting program which I’ve heard good things about. I’m kind of upset because my cousin scoffed and said it’s not a real school and its embarrassing I’m even going there. This is the best I could do considering my husbands hours and our child, I do online with once or twice a week classes at the school. I’m kind of bummed. Also should add she works retail so it’s not like she’s rolling in cash either, so I have no idea why she’d try bringing me down. Advice?
