Is it or is it not

So me and this guy have been seeing eachother as friends hanging out and one day he decided to kiss me and hold my hand i had this feeling of butterflies. How do you know your catching feelings i know it sounds stupid to even write this when i would obviously already know but have any of you experienced this?
