Can I ask my ob for one if I am not dilated ? Will she do it ?

Only your OB can answer that. They are all different.

They can’t do a sweep if you aren’t dilated.

I think you have to be at least a fingertip before they can even do it. And they usually start at 38 weeks.

I was 41 weeks when they did the sweep I wasn't dilated but I was 30% affaced (so soft enough for her to get in) it was a successful sweep but sadly didn't lead to Labour :( ! Goodluck !

They can’t sweep if your not dilated they have to be able to get a finger into the internal os and separate the lower bag from the uterus
