Has anyone taken their baby to a chiropractor?

My little guy is 7 weeks. Has reflux. Seems to be uncomfortable most of the time. Barely sleeping. He started medicine on Monday. I was talking to a friend and she said she took her son to a chiropractor.  He never took meds and was much better.  Anyone have any experience?

Yup. We’ve brought him twice as a 7 month old. We could feel his back cracking when we took him out of his high chair, and he was having night terrors. Neither happen anymore. We’ll take him again when he starts to walk and fall more frequently. 
Go to someone trained and experienced with children. She didn’t adjust him like she does me. She more so massaged with light pressure so he would relax and release tension. Then she held him upside down by his ankles for about 10 seconds, which we do at home too (he giggles). She walked us through all of it and asked for our permission before each step. She also included us in the appointment, so we helped keep him on the table and talked to him. We didn’t just sit off to the side. 
I’ve known her for nearly a year since I saw her while I was pregnant and continue to see her now. I am comfortable with her. If you’re not comfortable with the doctor, find a different one.

I’ve taken two of mine before. Make sure you go to one that works on babies regularly.

Thanks ladies. It's a coworkers husband that I am going to bring him to. Going this morning. Fingers crossed it helps. It's so hard to see him in pain and its draining on my family. I have 2 older kids who need their momma too. My 5 year old keeps saying I only ever hold the baby. Ugh

Yes. We did it because she was preferring to look over one shoulder all the time and not the other. It was so gentle, almost like energy work it seemed. We did it twice and it seemed to work. 
I figure if you get someone that’s well qualified and knows what they’re doing then what have you got to lose?

My son isn’t born yet but he’s definitely getting adjusted shortly after, especially if he’s colicky or having reflux type issues. My dad is a chiropractor and my first adjustment was right after I was born. According to my mom, my sisters and I were always great sleepers and we rarely get sick.

I took my little boy to the osteopath - he's 9 mths now, but took him at about 4 weeks to get his tummy checked as I had a C-section so he didn't stretch out down the birth canal. Took him again a few weeks ago for constipation & he was generally being a nightmare...it was like a switch 😮😁 he started sleeping right thru the night & was like a different child 🤗 (until he got poorly 🙄) it won't do your baby any harm, I'd give it a go xx

Personally I wouldn't. My step mom went as a baby and now suffers from bad migraines

We started with a craniosacral therapist instead with plans to see a chiropractor if that didn’t help. It helped tremendously, so we didn’t end up going. I love our CST. She even came to our house. Her adjustments were similar to a mix of gentle chiro and massage.
