"male" and "female" brains are exactly the same biologically. gender is a social construct. that doesn't mean its not real or it doesn't matter - money is also a social construct but no ones going around saying that makes it irrelevant. gender must not be confused with sex, gender roles or gender presentation. gender is an identity that is not determined by any of those things.

Most is social expectations and social conventions.
But I believe some of it has to be genetic? With X and Y chromosomes being different theres got to be something that is different.... but literally there is so much of a spectrum within the genders and genetics are so variant that we may never know.

no, it’s in our DNA and that one little chromosome accounts for some key differences between a male and female. denying that is foolish and potentially dangerous. 
to try and deny that is just asinine. it’s not a social construct when you’re attempting to deny facts of science.

I haven't researched recently PR anything but was under the impression that the amount of sex hormones in your body not only made those physical changes occur, but also affected mood and personality to a certain extent. Like how people with higher testosterone tend to have more aggression and are more likely to participate in risky behaviors.

This is a complicated answer. While much of it social construction I do agree, it came from nature. It's a nature vs nurture thing. For example in monkeys females are more prone to take care of dolls and such but do enjoy trucks too. Males play more with trucks but also enjoyed dolls. So obviously there's some natural truth to gender. But then some people would claim the sex vs gender argument. Now gender is a word that came from the conservative society where "sex" was a bad word. People forget humans are just animals. Everything about us is chemical. There's no right or wrong answer here it's a very grey subject. Now I don't think gender should control us as much as it does. But there are obvious difference in brain chemistry which makes things like transgenderism super understandable. It's a trick question with no definite answer.
