EWCM before ovulation?

I had a ton of EWCM on Wednesday. Like an obnoxious amount. I also had an ultrasound that day which showed my leading follicles were close but not yet ready to release. I triggered that night and IUI tomorrow. I haven’t had EWCM like that since and I’m worried maybe we missed my ovulation. Is it weird to get fertile CM days before ovulating?

Also, I drank a ton of water the day before I got all that CM so could I have just had a lot because I was so hydrated?
