Drinking wine while pregnant? 23 weeks.

Have you guys drunk any wine while you’ve been pregnant. My doctor told me that red wine is okay, and I’m going on a date tomorrow with my boyfriend just was wondering in you guys opinion that have had any while pregnant. What type? And how much.

I’ve had two glasses of wine. Look, it’s your call in the end. My husband is from Europe, there is a very different culture about it there... be careful and listen to your body. Do I think one glass of red wine in almost your third tri is going to damage your baby? No. But some people think differently. So, do you. And know that plenty of other moms drank a few glasses including my own mother, and we’re ok. But of course, a glass or even half glass right? ❤️🍷 enjoy! And PS I had white for my one glass... seems like that’s taboo? But baby is fine.

Read or Audible Download Expecting Better by Emily Oster. I listened on audible in one day. She goes through all the research and studies on smoking and caffeine and alcohol, and she covers the food restrictions too. And she doesn’t just talk at you, she explains the studies so you can make a decision for yourself. 
After listening to it, I feel that a small amount of alcohol is fine. But it’s a great book and I think everyone should read it and make informed decisions for themselves.

I just recently discovered this brand of wine called Fre, and it’s alcohol removed, so it’s safe! I think it tastes really good and it helps me feel like I’m drinking wine :) that could be something for you to try!

Had champagne for Christmas, small glass. And sometimes I would take a sip or two from my husbands glass. My doctor said one or two glasses per week are fine, but then again we are in French province of Canada (Québec) so wine is an important part of life. 😂

I did it with my son who is now a healthy, happy, on track with development 2 year old. I’d have half a glass occasionally.

I haven’t but I’m not normally an alcohol drinker anyway. My friend drank some wine with her son, her doctor also said one glass was okay. I remember her drinking a dark wine, but that’s all I know about the type.

Different Drs different opinions.  Each just like each mother is her own.  I've been told with everyone of my pregnancies that a glass of red wine a day is fine.  I have not done that.  No alcohol with my first, one glass with my second,  none with my third, and a small sample sip with this one once.  I don't judge any mother who chooses to do it or not.
