Which should I choose????

What IUD do you guys have??? Doing my research, but just want everyone's opinion! TIA!!!! These are so far my top choices!

I have paragard. Insertion was a breeze. No pain and only bled for four days after. I wanted to stay away from introducing more hormones into my body so I got paragard. I just had a baby so I didn’t have many options. The main side effect with paragard can be bleeding. I’ve always had a light period so I think I’ll be okay. At least I hope so. Ultimately it depends on what you are open to regarding the side effects.

I just got paraguard too (never had kids) and only had super light cramps for 2 days, I’ve had it for 2 weeks and love it! Slightly heavier periods, but mine have always been light-average so it’s not an issue, and I love that I don’t have to mess with hormones.

Depends on your periods I would say. I have a very heavy flow and paragard made it worse otherwise no complaints. I now have mirena which is FDA approved to treat heavy periods it stopped my periods after month 4 which I love. Out of all the hormonal iuds mirena is most likely to stop periods if that's what you're looking for. Want a period but hormonal IUD? Theres skyla and kyleena less hormones so it may cause irregular periods.

I just got murena and it was a breeze going in, although I’ve had a baby and was told that since I’ve been pregnant before it would be much easier. Murena/skye or any of the hormonal iud’s are better for those who have had children whereas the paraguard is better for those who have not.

I have a Skyla, as it is recommended for women who have not yet had children. I love it, and I hope that it can always be my form of birth control! The first few months I had some pretty intense cramping, but I’m at about 6 months now, and my periods are light, regular, and painless! And my mood is much less affected than it was with pills. Everyone responds differently, but I love it!
