So basically I go to a city private school in Manhattan. It is a predominantly white school, and I am African and I am there on a scholarship. I have a different financial status than a lot of the other student. A LOT of them are the children of ex VS models, actors, and business people. They have been like to the Tony's. So basically prom to them is not a big deal and they just wear slip dresses and shirt black dresses. Prom to me has always seemed like that one day where I can be as glamourous as I want, but I don't want to be extra. I found a dress that I loved, but I am scared that having a train will be too extra, and I don't want to be the one that like talked about.
