What to do with first child

What does everyone who's had a first child do with them for labor of the second one.   What happens if there's no one to take them and you go into labor.

My son ended up being in the room with myself and my husband when I had our daughter. He had just turned two and my husband kept him up by my head. He handled it all really well. Everyone we called couldn’t make it to the hospital in time.

I’m wondering this too. We have no one I would leave him with here, and for his labor and delivery, my sister flew out here but we were already 12 hours into my surprise induction 3 weeks early when she arrived. It’s one of my biggest anxieties about getting pregnant again! I don’t want to bring him to the hospital, but I also don’t want to be alone at the hospital.

My mom will come stay with her. If I didn’t have family, I’d start evaluating friendships to see if I trust someone enough to stay with her.
