Doesn’t matter what kind or how often you apply it, you will get them if you are meant to. It is what it is

I only moisturize with raw shea butter from africa at bedtime, it has previously helped me diminish stretch marks on my arms

I use oil or lotion at least 3x a day and have still developed bad stretch marks on my lower abdomen. However, they arent as deep as when they first appeared.

I used bio oil twice a day and a cream moisturizer once a day and I still got stretch marks. I still do it just to keep moisture in and it helps with the itchiness immensely but there was no preventing those stretch marks, as I was predestined to get them. Thanks mom!

I used bio oil twice a day until about 25 weeks but found it rubbed off easily when putting clothes on. I now use Palmers stretch mark lotion and it stays on better and (obviously) isn’t oily and gross. I have some marks on my hips and boobs but I’m hoping they’ll just fade after I deliver and not go deep or anything. My mom, grandmother as well as my dads side etc all didn’t get stretchmarks so I’m not convinced on the genetic thing. Maybe part of it is but the creams still definitely help with itching either way ☺️ plus, we are carrying life so it’s a small price to pay (I used to get so gutted when another mark would appear). I was religious with moisturizing my last pregnancy, went the entire time with no stretch marks .... as soon as my stomach shrunk back there they were. 
Now I don’t even bother.

I’ve heard it’s genetic but my stomach gets really itchy anyway! So I like to massage either palmers cocoa butter, vitamin e oil, and now shea butter on my belly. Depends on the day. But I try to do it once in the morning and once at night. It’s a cute little way to bound with your baby too (if they’re already kicking).
