So I’m talking to my children’s father about child support as we have 1 month old twins together and he’s saying how he doesn’t make much, things are already tight with him and how his lawyer said “you can’t draw blood from a stone” ( I don’t know why he has a lawyer for just a child support situation but anyway ) and he thinks that there’s no point in me taking him to court because it will be the same thing.

Is this true? I think with court they will be able to get more from him, but not sure.

I’m just upset because he told me that “he doesn’t want to be in their lives” a week after they were born, I made a post about that. so him being broke makes this even worse because I would have loved having him there to help me, and now I won’t be getting that and possibly now I won’t be getting much money for two babies is just overwhelming stressful. He’s making this so hard for me it’s literally giving me chest pains. To top it off he has a 3 month old daughter with a gf I didn’t know about, and he’s present and helping out with her.

Any advice ?
