Is losing pieces of mucus plug a sign of slight dilation?
To start off, I know the mucus plug regenerates and doesn’t mean imminent labor so that’s not what this question is just so that’s covered :) I’ve never had any mucus like discharge my entire pregnancy until yesterday. It was clear. No blood in it. I had more today. At my 36 week appointment on Friday I was effaced (he didn’t give me a percentage just said I’m thinned out) but I wasn’t dilated. Baby is also head down and pressing on my cervix. Im just curious if losing little pieces of my mucus plug means I’m starting to dilate a little? I see my doctor again for my 37 week this Thursday. I’m not expecting to go into labor anytime soon, I’m just curious about how all this works as I’m a ftm
