When do I make a midwife appointment?

Hi all,
This is my first pregnancy and had a positive test yesterday I worked out in around 4 weeks so very early, when do I call my doctors to make an appointment? 
I’m 27, My mum doesn’t seem very supportive about my news, so next place to go is here xx

First of all Congratulations!!  I used a midwife as well (here in the states - not sure where u are), & got too excited to wait to go in...so I think I was probably 5 or 6 weeks 🤔..?   I also wanted to make sure we were a good match.  So depending on your particular situation, I would just call as soon as you’d like & see what they recommend.  
Also -since it’s most critical in the early weeks of pregnancy- I would highly recommend switching to a Methylated Folate ASAP (unless you already take it) rather than a synthetic Folic Acid just in case you carry the MTHFR gene (30% of the population does).  It’s an easy switch w/ no risk, but hugely beneficial if you happen to be a carrier.  It can prevent palate deformities (i.e. something as “benign” as a tongue or lip tie) as well as other developmental complications.

Sorry for the unsolicited advice...but it’s shocking how so few of us have even heard of the MTHFR gene.  It’s ridiculously common, & quite manageable, yet the consequences of not knowing are far too serious to not try & raise awareness whenever possible.
