Tubes tied, yes or no?

So I'm currently 19 weeks with my second child. My first pregnancy was a little rough in the beginning and I ended up hospitalized bedrest for 2 weeks and induced at 37 weeks due to gestational hypertension. I already this pregnancy am diagnosed with gestational hypertension and have been to the er 3 times for it and again today for upper abdominal pain. I've already decided that I am only wanting two biological and adopt two children later on in life. I suck at taking birth control, but am scared of getting my tubes tied. Has anyone on here gotten them tied and regretted it or any advice or could tell me what happens? Thanks in advance. Sorry for the long post. Haha

I got it done my last birth and I'm 39, 4th baby, preeclampsia twice and 2 emergency c sections. Even so there are times when I question it. It's one thing to not want another, but then when you CAN'T have another, it's just a different feeling. So just make sure you're 200% done done. If there's even an inkling of doubt, don't do it, get the copper IUD or something.

What about your SO having a vasectomy or what about Mirena birth control? Mirena is 5 years and you wouldn’t have to remember to take anything. Just another thought. If after 5 years you were certain you were done you could make it more permanent.

My mom and two of my aunts have had major issues because of having their tubes tied(at least that's what they've told me). So they have completely turned me off of having it done when I'm done with kids!

My husband will have a vasectomy. The recovery is so much easier for a man and they don’t have the issues associated with sometime as major as a tubal ligation.
