How do you know I don’t know love ?

So basically I’ve been dating my boyfriend a year and a half, we’re super strong and we’ve said I love you now. We’re 16 and many times people my age or older than me say you don’t know what love is, you’re to young for love or your just young and dumb but I kinda just want to say how do you know what love is or how do you know that I don’t know just cause I’m young doesn’t mean I’m clueless. 
Basically what I want to know is you guys thoughts , please comment 🤷🏽‍♀️ xx

I mean theres def diff stages of love. You're in a honeymoon type stage and gyes your literal brain still has maturing to do. I do agree love between 16 yr olds vs 25yr olds is different. 
But playing devils advocate I knew my person when u was 16 🤷🏼‍♀️. Doesnt mean there wasnt immature moments, break ups etc. But there will always. Aaaallwwaayyss  be someone older than you who says "oh just wait til bleh bleh bleh" and think they know so much better. Just learn from others mistakes so you dont make all of them yourself. That's all i can say

For me, I think that everybody feels love a different way. I've never had a stable home or a place to call my own. So for me when I fell in love with my boyfriend, I realized that it felt like stability and it felt familiar. Because that's what I was craving in life. For him he feels accepted and and that his feelings are reciprocated. For him that's his love.

When you go through shit and stay strong and come out on top not because you feel obligated to stay but because you wholeheartedly put in the work because that’s what matters to you and they do the same, then that’s love.

My husband and I started dating when we were 15. He gave me a promise ring after a week of dating. People told us we wouldn’t be together forever, that we were doomed just because we were young. But we’ve been together for 6 years now and we got married last August. When we were 15 our love was very different than it is now. You learn all the scary things that come with relationships as you get older, there are a lot of obstacles, it gets really hard. But I think if the love and compatibility is there nothing can tear you apart. Try to ignore people who tell you it won’t last, but be smart and look out for yourself. Make sure the relationship is healthy. It’s possible to be in love and be in an unhealthy relationship.
