Starting a family - why is it so hard?
I'm turning 31 this year and my partner and I are still living at his parent's house.
We were living on our own 6 years ago but one day his parents visited us and offered to take us in so we can save money to buy a house. Four years later we are still broke asf.
We are so very thankful for his parents because if not for them my partner won't be able to quit his job that he hated. Because of his parents help in taking us in, he was able to finished his degree with flying colours. Because of his parents we have a home.
Last year we have started a small business in his field. Both of us work full time and saving constantly but life do get in a way and we really don't have much in our name.
We are happy and very committed to each other. But I wonder, when are we able to start our own family when we can't even stand on our own two feet? Has any of you been in the same situation? What did you do? I feel like I'm running out of time and I'm going to miss my opportunity to have kids. I would appreciate all your advise and any stories you can share.
Thanks.
