Almost 2- Won’t sleep in his room 🙃

My son is almost 2 and we’ve been trying to transition him to sleep in his room since we have another little boy coming in July. Thursday and Friday, he fussed for an hour but slept all the way through the night. Saturday and Sunday night, he wakes up about 1am screaming. I’ll usually try to comfort him for about an hour but I have to be up at 5am for the day. So I end up couch crashing. He’s got white noise playing and a projector. His crib is the exact same as before and he’s very familiar with his room... What else can I do? Halp!
