My first IUI! What do I expect?

Today I had my mid cycle ultrasound. I had one follicle measuring at 22 on my left ovary and a nice thickness in my uterus. To which my nurse indicated we will proceed with our <a href="https://glowing.com/glow-fertility-program">IUI</a> for this month. Tonight I will trigger for the first time at midnight. And Wednesday at 10 AM will be the procedure. I would love advice and insight. Particularly since I have never administered an injection.

Last month we were unable to continue with <a href="https://glowing.com/glow-fertility-program">IUI</a> as my right ovary had a follicle measuring at 32 mm and 16 mm. This was my second month using Femara 2.5mg.

I just did my second IUI today. I’m using I have OVIDREL injections 24 hours before procedure. There’s a lot of cramping and mine usually last 3 to 4 days. The two week wait is hell, but don’t drive yourself nuts by taking by taking pregnancy test after pregnancy test. Have realistic expectations as my first one did not work and I was devastated and I’m onto my second. It should be easier this time because I know what to expect. First, good luck! Doing the injection can be a little daunting at first but I watched the video that my pharmacy has on their page and it was less overwhelming. I had also never given myself a shot before. 
The insemination procedure is very quick and all things considered relatively painless. It’s uncomfortable, but not very painful. After they inseminated, you just need to lie on your back for however long your doc specifies. I’ve seen anywhere from 5-15 mins. You should ask your doc whether you should also have intercourse and when. I cramped for a day or two afterwards but it wasn’t terrible. 
One week later you will go in for bloodwork to check your progesterone levels. This does not predict pregnancy. And then after one more dreadful week of waiting, you’ll go in for bloodwork to test for pregnancy.

sending you baby dust and positive vibes!!!! I did my first round of IUI I am currently 10dpiui. Hardest thing so far has been the two week wait! Driving me crazy I go in Thursday am for blood work to see if I got pregnant this cycle!!! I have unexplained infertility been TTC for 3 years ! Fingers crossed 🤞

We did iui jan 31. Everything was nornal and painless.  Got up after lying for 15 mins. I think it has something to do with the doctor's careful hands. I had endometrial polyps but there was no bleeding.  She said it means the catheter did not touch the polyps. 
Previous iui had hcg shot day before procedure. This time  hcg was injected after the procedure.

I'm in my ttw for my first iui.  I did not use a shot though, only 5mg of letrozole. This was my 5th month on letrozole but first iui.
The procedure itself is a lot like a pap smear but a lot quicker . I did not have any pinching when they inserted the catheter, but I did have a MASSIVE heat flash. Turned my chest and face red. Which never happens. But it was partly from my cervix being messed with and nerves.

Eat pineapple core for 5 days from day of procedure, it’s to help with implantation. Do not eat it after 7dpiui!!!!!!! 
You’ll more than likely experience cramping, that’s normal. If you’re taking progesterone it can also mimic symptoms of both af and pregnancy. Total head fuck!!!! 
The tww wait can be hideous so try to find things you really enjoy doing, that helps pass the time. Baby dust sent your way ✨✨✨✨✨
