Nuva ring?

Anyone on the nuva ring? I just inserted yesterday and woke up to full on bleeding still. I’m afraid the damn thing will come out. Can you even use tampons? Side effects? How long do you keep it in? How long do you take it out?

I take mine out and insert back in on Monday evenings. Even if I’m still slightly bleeding I’ll put it in to keep myself on a normal cycle. I read the pamphlet that came with it and it says you can use tampons while it’s in! I also talked to my doctor and she told me to put it in on the last 3 days of my period. If you wait until your period is over you should use a second form of Bc like a condom. 3 weeks in 1 week out and you’ll be good to go otherwise!

You shouldn’t be using your Nuva ring during your period week. 
It also isn’t going to come out, unless it’s hooked on a finger and pulled. 
Tampons are safe with it, however, you should be removing it during your flow. Then when flow is gone, you put your next one in.

When I first went on nuva ring, I kept it in for 3 weeks, took it out and put a new one in right away and after 9 weeks took the 3rd one out to gave a period because I was having really bad ovarian cysts at the time. Now I take it out every three weeks and have a period on the 4th week and other than the blood clot I had a few days ago, it’s been fine. My skin has cleared up, my ovarian cysts have cleared up. I was afraid it would come out too, but all you have to do is push it back in place.
