Those who married young, do you regret it?

I got married at 18 and I’m 22 now. My divorce is almost finalized. I regret it only because my ex husband is a horrible person and it was expensive for me to file for divorce. I have a lot of friends who got married young and they’re so happy in their marriage. Then there’s a lot of people who got married later and got a divorce.

I was married at 19. Separated at 21. Divorced at 24. I do and I don't regret it. I do because I wasted my dream wedding on a piece of shit and that relationship costed me a lot of my friends and I gained a ton of weight and was miserable looking back. I don't because it taught me what I want and don't want in a partner and in a marriage and because if that I met the perfect person for me.

28 now my husband is my best friend but of course there’s tough times.

My husband and I married right out of high school. It's been 13 years now. Some years were rocky, some were amazing. But we love each other even more now than when we were 18. It's been wonderful getting to grow up with and now grow old with my high school sweetheart. It isn't easy. It takes work and communication and commitment but it's so worth it.

I was 21 he was 18, been married almost 4 years. It was super hard for the first 2 1/2 years, a lot of fighting just figuring out how to live and be good spouses. Each year got slowly better as we kind of grew up together and matured more. But we went through difficulty getting pregnant and that really bonded us and I feel like we are finally in the honeymoon phase. It has all been so worth it and I’m glad we’ve been able to figure out life together so far.

21 and haven’t gotten married yet. He’s wanting to do it sooner due to deployment coming when our baby will be here. We’ve been together 7 years.. So, here’s to hoping I don’t regret it in the future.
