The Medela is an Open system pump so there will be moisture in the tubes and you will have to clean them thoroughly to avoid mold. Spectra is a closed system pump so you’ll never have to worry about moisture getting in the tubes or anything like that

I only used the Haakaa silicone pump and absolutely loved it. Easy clean, easy use, easy sterilisation and not expensive

I got a Medela free (this was before that was a thing through insurance lol) and I loved it. But it's the only one I used so I have no comparison.

With my son I used the Medela ! Will be using it for this boy as well!

I got a medela through insurance and ended up purchasing the Spectra when I went back to work. Spectra is much quieter, learning curve was trickier though.
