I saw a lactation consultant yesterday because I’ve had nipple pain since the day my son was born and he is now 6 weeks old. I have no cracking or bleeding my nipples look fine besides being a little bright pink/ red. She said his latch looked great and recommended the football hold to help put less friction on my nipples since that’s the way they naturally point. She said he does have a lip tie and to get that checked by a dentist but she didn’t think that was the cause of my pain. I’m at a loss. I’m so close to quitting. It hurts so bad.
